RockSteady® Clip Quick Installation Guide

1. Preparing the Site
- Inspect and reinforce the wall structure to ensure it can support the drywall load.
- Ensure the floor or wall is designed to handle the weight.
- Use wood studs (minimum 2”x4”) or steel studs (minimum 25 gauge).
2. Positioning the Clips
- Place clips every 6 feet, with a minimum of 2 feet from the end of each drywall sheet.
- Sheets over 12 feet require two clips.
- Match the clip size to drywall thickness: 1/2” clip for 1/2” drywall, 5/8” clip for 5/8” drywall.
3. Installation Steps

- Use a screw gun to drive the eye-end screw into the side of the framing stud, keeping it level with the top edge of the drywall, at least 1” from the edge.

Alternate Method (Front Face Attachment):
- Drive the screw into the center front face of the framing stud. Ensure two clips per sheet are used for this method. (Insert image of front face attachment)
4. Important Safety Tips
- Ensure the drywall stack is 4 to 6 inches from the wall to avoid tipping hazards. Use a measuring tool to confirm.
- For wood studs, drill a small pilot hole before inserting the self-tapping screw.
5. Re-Use Guidelines
- Inspect clips for wear or damage before re-using. Discard if there are any signs of damage.
6. Recommended Equipment
- Use a 12-volt (or higher) drill/driver or screw gun with a torque setting for ease of installation.
