Excellent device for mounting in angles that would otherwise be floating! Ez to use very convenient for fixing framing errors or eliminating some lumber use.
Does require extra attention for finishing drywall but minimal compared to floppy loose angles.
I'd recommend this product to anyone!

The Window Slide is a great tool it works will 4-9/16 jambs, but so well on 6-9/16" jambs.

Take your time getting the mix right for your mud, that's the most important part. The adjustment on the nozzle is very touchy, so get a big piece of plastic to do a bit of spray pattern testing before you start. This thing will pay for itself in the first few jobs if you're buying cans for pickup work.

In the late 80's I used the precursor to this product that was all brass and could only be leased. Fantastic tool and nothing like it. With my own company for 18 yrs., we always used a hopper and compressor. Now, I'm working as a handyman and the jobs are so small, I resorted to the canned textures ... all crap. So I thought I'd give this tool a try and bought the one used with a small compressor. Worked fine but not for small jobs. I returned it in pristine condition to Timothy's and then purchased the pump. Used it twice, once for a couple of ceiling patches where it worked great and the second time for 50 sq. ft. of drywall, ceiling and wall patches. The second time I got the thickness of the spray mud right and was able to match the orange peel perfectly the first spray. No need for a second pass. I could not believe it. The adjustment and pressure is a bit touchy but once you get it - the spray comes out great. Thank you very much.

The use I purchased this mud pan for is a bit unconventional. My furnace requires a 20 X 24 filter. Unfortunately, it sinks completely into the slot and takes forever to get it out so I but the 20 X 25. This leaves an inch sticking out which I had been covering with a couple of 2 X 4's, not ideal. This mud pan will completely cover the top of the filter that sticks out after putting some magnetic tape down to complete the seal. Then, if I ever do need a mud pan of this size, it's waiting for me.
